This year.
The school year is already almost over. Its cray how fast the school year by. Just yesterday it seemed like we were starting this blogging "experiment". But yet here we are, at the end of this prosperous and glorious year. By the hammer of Thor and the shield of captain America and the rage of the hulk, the suit of the Iron Man, the gun of the Black Widow, and the bow of Hawkeye this was a good year. I have really enjoyed the blogging of this year instead writing boring papers. At first, i was skeptical to say the least about doing blogs, probably because i had never done anything like this before. I was like a kid going to kindergarten for the first time, I didn't know whether to be excited or to cry. Luckily it wasn't as bad as i thought it, it was actually fun! I really have enjoyed doing blogs this year and it has brought new enjoyment and creativity not only into writing but also reading as well. I'm glad i had this class so i could enjoy this with everyone else.

This link is for information on the Hitler youth. This link is really relevant if you want to learn more about what type of lifestyle Helmuth.

Alot of the book is about how life changed after Hitler came to power. So this link is about Hitler's rise to power to tell about the change in Germany.

This gives a pretty accurate description of what Nazi Germany was like on a daily basis for anyone that wants to know about that.
http://gh.oxfordjournals.org/content/27/4/560.extract
This is another link describing everyday life in Nazi Germany and this is important to understand because the book is based on a true story.

This is just a quick summary of The Boy Who Dared in case somebody hasn't read the book they can get a quick jist of the book.

Because the story is told by Helmuth while he is in a concentration camp so it gives a little perspective on what those are like.

This article is specifically about the life in a concentration camp. Just to give people a better perspective on that.

This is my Animoto for the book "The Boy Who Dared" by Susan Campbell Bartoletti. I think it gives a pretty good vibe of what the book is about and i think the music doesnt make it as depressing as the thought of it is. This is a true story though so i tried to use pictures that were actually around in that era, besides the Neil Patrick Harris on, that was just a nice add-on i thought.

The Boy who Dared
The Boy Who Dared is written by Susan Campbell Bartoletti and is a true story based on one of the Hitler youth. The story takes place when Hitler is coming to power in Germany and Helmuth Hubener is a school boy while it is all happening. In Nazi Germany when you got over the age of 10 you were required to join the Hitler youth, a part of the Nazi party. At first Helmuth is enthusiastic about this and is very patriotic. But then the Nazi party starts discriminating and the crimes and deaths start adding up. Helmuth doesn't know if he can keep quite about what is going on and you will have to read the book to find out what happens to him!
One of the biggest reasons I find this book interesting and likable is its perspective. Reading about WWII and history was always one of my favorites but the WWII stories always seemed to be told by historical documents and political notes. What I really like about this is that it is told from the story of a Hitler youth and how everyday life of the Germans changed for the better and the worst. Not only is it told in this perspective but it is completely true. Helmuth Hubener was a real person and what happened to him in this book was real too. Now I haven't had the time to read all the book so far but from what I have read I would recommend this book highly among others I have read. I hope you like it too.

This link gives some scenery to the book and gives some descriptions to the book too. I chose this link because of the scenery aspect of it so you can image the book images better. After i visited it i could actually picture Theodore in each place of the book.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_school
I gave a link to Law school on Wikipedia in case anyone what it would take or what it is like being a lawyer. I think after you read it you will see how talented Theodore really is.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Murder_trials
This trial about murder trials is for anyone who wants to read about murder trials. Some of them have drawn big attention in the U.S so you can imagine why the trial in the book is so big.
http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Circumstantial+Evidence
because the murder in the book has Circumstantial Evidence i posted this. It gives a legal definition of Circumstantial Evidence in better detail than the book.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oath
This post explains some more things that happened in the trial. Especially since the murderer had to swear on a bible in court. This link explains why he did that and why they do it now.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jury
another link showing some more trial "lingo". This one explains what a jury is and how a jury is used in a court room.
